Starting again

Sunlight spread across the midday sky. Birds circled around high above, scanning for food. Persephone used her arm to shield the hot light of the summer sun beating down onto her. She had just arrived in this new town, hoping for a new beginning. On the other hand, she to find revenge, wanted to put every man back in his place.

Persephone found a lone tree hovering above, as she neared the town. Exhausted from the long walk there she slunk down against the trunk of the tree, and looked up at the tree through the long wooden arms stretching over top. Slowly, she withdrew one of her blades from the pocket of her soft leather shorts, and tucked in slightly under her left arm, hiding it out of sight.

As she watched the rabbit run past, Persephone quietly drifted into a light slumber.

Ark sat, relaxed and a little tipsy at the bar. Men in small trails, like ants coming, flirting, being rejected then leaving, seeping from her side. Twirling the sweet amber liquid in her glass, she steared in wonderment at her reflection in the glazed bar top 'Who are you?' she though to herself 'Other than a killer, drinker, womanizer, manizer and assasin' she sighed.

A young and decently looking man, must've heard her distraught sigh and decided to, in his machoness step up to the plate and make this pretty young thing feel a little better, the medicine being, his cock. "Hey girly, I couldn't help but hear that pretty little sigh of yer's." He drawled.

Ark looked up with her piercing blue eyes, she didn't like this one... he was like all the others "If you pay, you could hear more." she smiled sweetly.

He laughed "Well baby, I think you've taken me for the wrong type of man." He grabbed her shoulder with a bit of force.

She scowled "Man.." She pulled out her dagger and before you knew it there was the sound of a wet object hit the floor "You're not a man." She smirked.

His face went white in realisation, his skin took on a pink tinge and in his rage he swung at Ark with all the force he could muster. It hit her jaw and she slid over the bar in the bottles of booze lining the walls. As a fight broke out amonst the men (and not so man) she booked it to the door, wanting out before she was hunted like a fox. With cuts on her face and a nasty bruise forming on her jaw she ran, ran away from the busy streets and into the woods surrounding the small town.

Startled, by the sound of hurried foot steps, Persephone jumped to her feet, her dagger out and ready. She planted her back against the tree, ready to jump into its arms if need be. It had grown dark quite quickly, but her eyes had already adjusted.

The smell of adrenaline whooshed past her, and tingled at her nose. She took off in a chase to catch up with the hurried woman. She liked toying with people first before pouncing, so she kept herself at a distance, so the girl could only hear the sounds of her feet hitting the ground behind her.

Away the from the town, nothing but her and the canopy of the trees, a lone start twinkling through the weaved branches. She kept incase they followed, foot after food pounding at the ground, the only other sound was anothers footsteps. She slowed, to a jog. Breathing what may be her last breaths she smiled, atleast she took that bastards dick with her.

Persephone heard the thudding of the footsteps on the damp forest floor slow, but she kept her to her pace. She pushed back her long pink hair, and used a tree to propel herself forward onto the girl. Her body pinned against hers, and holding her hands above her head. Slowly, her eyes adjusted to the face beneath her, she had slight bruising on her jaw, and a few cuts and scratches other where place around her face.

Sitting back, Persephone released the girls hands and sat back off to the side of her. She held out her hand to help the girl up as she spoke "Hey, I'm Persephone, call me Seph. You ok?" she cocked her head to the side slightly.

Releasing the air out her lungs as she hit the ground, her entire body went rigid in distress, but something said 'wait' deep inside her and instead of thrashing to kill her assailant she breathed, her cold eyes locked on her capture. Long pink locks draped over her face, the very tips of this girls hair poking her in her slight gashes. She showed no pain, or no relaxation to her body.

When her hands were freed, she lay them gently to her sides and shifted sitting on her elbows. She looked up at the girls offered hand and smiled, declining the hand and pushing herself up. Letting go her muscles but still very aware that this was a stranger "Hey, Seph? Was it?, Ok. Ah," Ugh she couldn't believe it what happened to her suave demeanor "My name is Ark." her voice dripped with a Grecian accent, after spending most of her life there along the coasts it had just settled in. Brushing her blue hair back she caught a cut on her face, and breathed sharply. "Got anything to drink?" She chuckled.
